Redirects template
Create and update BigCommerce redirects using Shift.
Quick start
The best way to get started is to run an export and use the file as a guide to the format required.

Import & export columns
Basic columns
| Fields | Description |
|---|---|
| ID | This is the unique identifier provided by BigCommerce for existing redirects. 🔑 This field is required to update existing redirects. |
| Domain | The domain for the BigCommerce site. |
| Old Path | Redirect from this path. |
| Manual URL/Path | Redirect to this absolute or relative URL. This field is only required for Dynamic Target Type url. |
| Dynamic Target Type | The type of redirect. Whether it's a custom redirect e.g. url or should dynamically redirect to a specific BigCommerce entity. Allowed values: url, product, brand, category, page, post |
| Dynamic Target ID | The BigCommerce entity ID to redirect to when Dynamic Target Type is set to product, brand, category, page, or post. This should not be used when the Dynamic Target Type is set to url. |
| Dynamic Target URL | The ultimate URL that customers will be redirected to. This is provided for information purposes only. 🔒 This field cannot be imported. |
Export filters
You can filter redirect exports by channel or keyword. Note that the keyword filter matches from the start of the URL, only.
tip
As you reduce the number of items in your export, or change what data should be included, the estimate of the number of records and duration of the export will be updated
