Creating companies
Use a company import when you want to create new BigCommerce B2B Edition companies in bulk.
You can download a minimal company creation example and use it as a starting point.
Required fields
To create a company, leave the Company ID column blank and provide these fields on the Basic sheet:

Optional fields
You can include other company columns in the same row, such as Status, Customer Group ID, address fields, Channel IDs, or Origin Channel ID.
If you do not need company extra fields for the first import, the Extra Fields sheet can be left blank.
tip
Creation-only admin fields can be empty on exports because BigCommerce does not return them in the company response. They are still required when creating a company.
Import the file
- Choose Companies in Shift.
- Start a new import.
- Upload your company spreadsheet.
- Map the columns to the matching company fields.
- Validate the import.
- Start the import once validation passes.
