Map import columns

For each column in your import spreadsheet, we need to know what field should be updated in BigCommerce.

Choosing a field​

Choose the appropriate field type for each column of your spreadsheet.

Auto-detecting​

We'll do our best to auto-detect based on the column name, so we recommend using the naming conventions used by exports to make this easier.

Column groups​

We group related columns together to make them easier to manage. Check each group of columns by choosing from the buttons/pill tabs above the list of fields.

Skip Columns​

You might have columns in your spreadsheet that you don't want to import. For these columns, choose "Mark as skipped" within the further actions dropdown.

Apply Transformations​

Apply custom transformations to each column so that you can pre-process data automatically without needing to make changes to your import file each time.

This is helpful when you have a pre-existing file, e.g. export from another system like an ERP, and you wish to be able to import each time without making further changes.
